Sequenom knows that hiring qualified individuals contributes to its overall strategic success. Background checks and pre-employment drug screens serve as an important part of the selection process at Sequenom. This helps promote a safe work environment for current and future employees
POLICY:
At Sequenom, background checks and pre-employment drug screens are conducted on every U.S. applicant who has received a written offer of employment regardless of the position for which they are applying. This process is conducted to verify the accuracy of the information provided by the applicant. Examples include checks of past employment, education, criminal records, motor vehicle records, job-related accomplishments, etc. Sequenom will ensure that all background checks and drug screens are conducted in compliance with all federal and state statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as applicable.
All employment offers are made contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screen. As part of this process, each prospective employee must complete an authorization form.
RECORDKEEPING:
Sequenom guarantees that all information attained from the background check and drug screen process will only be used as part of the employment process and kept strictly confidential. Only Human Resources will have access to this information.
